Sunics Signal Model

An alternative approach to signal processing

Sunics provides a novel way of modeling signals and time-series. It applies a splitting of data into a pitch and wave shape. This unprecedented representation is referred to as a Sunic.

The wave shape is a lossless re-arrangement of the signal data in the time-phase domain.
It provides an alternative signal model and is the base for new, powerful signal processing methods in many fields of science and technology.

Visualisation

A new way of viewing data

The wave shape is visualised via a coloured image. It delivers a unique visual fingerprint showing signal characteristics, trends and events at a glance.

The compact yet detailed appearance of these images simplifies navigation for long data sequences and provides novel approaches to recognition and interpretation of data.

Image-Based Signal Processing

A new way of processing data

The modelling and visualisation process
is reversible: signal and image are equivalent. Modification of the image directly applies to the signal and vice versa.

Image processing turns into signal processing.

This delivers a powerful new toolset for
the analysis, modification and synthesis
of signals.
